A rare, four-ribbed twist on the classic Bishop’s Cap
Origin:
This unique variety of Astrophytum myriostigma is native to northeastern Mexico and is most recognizable by its typically four-ribbed, star-like body. With a chalky, dotted surface and meditative symmetry, quadricostatum is an elegant, sculptural cactus that adds rare character to any collection.
Growing Conditions:
This plant thrives in full sun and well-draining soil. Like all our Astrophytum offerings, it’s been grown in full Arizona sun at Arid Adaptations Nursery, making it resilient and well-adapted to tough desert conditions. It’s low-maintenance and well-suited for both new and experienced growers.
