🌵 About Arid Origins

Where the desert’s resilience meets a little cosmic wonder.

Arid Origins started with me falling in love with the desert: not just how it looks, but how it survives. The plants out here are weird and beautiful and tough in the most magical way. This shop isn’t just about selling seeds. It’s about creating a space where we can slow down, get our hands dirty, and reconnect with the wild stuff that keeps us curious.

I offer a variety of cactus and succulent seeds, including some rare and hard-to-find species. But more than anything, I hope Arid Origins inspires you to notice the little things, ask questions, and grow something meaningful,  even if it’s just one tiny seed.

🌱 About the Seeds

The seeds come from Jeff Moore’s nursery, Arid Adaptations, in Tucson, AZ. Jeff’s been growing desert plants for years, and I’m lucky to learn from him and collect seeds from the plants he’s cared for.

They’re not mass-produced or imported: they’re hand-collected, desert-grown, and adapted to thrive. When you buy seeds from Arid Origins, you’re getting a little piece of the desert and a whole lot of care behind it.

Hey, I’m Keeley! I run Arid Origins.

I’m still kind of new to this world of cacti and seeds, but it’s been such a grounding and eye-opening journey for me. What started as simple curiosity has turned into something I really believe in. These plants have taught me so much; about patience, resilience, and paying attention.

Arid Origins is my way of sharing that. Whether you’re a seasoned grower or just getting started, I’m glad you're here. Let’s grow weird, wild, and grounded, together.

Many of the seeds we offer are collected from mature plants at the nursery, and the live plants we list are grown under full desert sun in the same space.
